    • Must climb stairs - The house is set into the side of a hill. To access the main level, one flight of stairs will need to be climbed.

Good to Know

Details for a Smooth Stay

  • Check-in is after 4:00 PM and checkout is before 10:00 AM.

    Self check-in is available with a keypad.

  • Maximum of 8 guests. Pets are welcome. No parties or events, commercial photography, or smoking.

    Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM–7:00 AM. Please be considerate of our neighbors during your stay.

  • Sunset Serenity is built into the side of a hill. Guests will need to climb one flight of stairs to access the main level.

  • There is a public launch about a mile from the house. You can launch your boat here and use the private dock in front of the house.

  • The fire pit by the lake is available for guest use when local conditions allow. Please check current Michigan DNR burn restrictions for PIERSON TOWNSHIP before starting a fire.

  • Before checking out, please:

    • Gather used towels

    • Place trash in the designated bin

    • Run the dishwasher, if needed

    • Turn off lights and other items

    • Leave used beds unmade

    There’s no need to strip the beds, but you’re welcome to leave stripped sheets in the bedroom if you choose.

  • Michigan winters can bring changing road and driveway conditions. 4WD is recommended during the winter months. Please note that the road down to the house is steep, and while snow removal is provided, it may not be plowed immediately during active or changing weather conditions.
